Speaking in an interview with The Wall Street Journal on Monday, Ms. Suu Kyi said “I’m not really interested and haven’t thought of looking it up on the ‘net or whatever.” She added that she likes the movie’s director, Luc Besson, who she met along with his wife after the film had been made. “But I look upon the film as his version of events. He’s perfectly entitled to make a film based on his version of what happened, and it’s not necessarily what happened and not my version of events either.”
