Following its huge success last year, The Roof Gardens in Kensington is bringing back its fantastic live music nights back for 2011 with an exciting new programme of live music every weekend throughout autumn/winter 2011/12.
An amazing line up of new and established talent will perform exclusive sets every Friday evening from 7pm at the award-winning venue. The Roof Gardens can already confirm some wonderful acts such as pop/rock artist Tiger Lilly and Italian born Gianluca De Martini. Every Friday the headlining acts will be supported by another three talented acts in the Tudor garden making for a wonderful evening of live music.
The full event line-up for October and November 2011 is as follows:
Friday 14th October – Headliner: Tiger Lilly (with support acts)
Refreshing and bold, Tiger Lilly is a pop/rock artist from the UK who has been captivating audiences across the country with her soul bearing lyrics and crisp, unique sound
Friday 21st October – Headliner: Gianluca De Martini (with support acts)
Gianluca De Martini was born in Genoa (Italy) and soon started performing live in clubs while educating his voice, at first according to the Classical method then following his real passions: Soul, R&B, Blues and Gospel
Friday 28th October – Headliner: Carrie Haber (with support acts)
A born performer Carrie Haber will intrigue you from the first moment you spy on her sitting at the piano, with her vibrant red hair and mischievous smile. Your ears will resonate with pleasure as they listen to her powerhouse voice and all her memorable melodies and lyrics
Friday 4th November – Headliner: Pete Du Pon (with support acts)
Pete du Pon is an English singer-songwriter making waves as an up and coming unsigned artist, touted by many as the next James Taylor. Sponsored by Gibson guitars and with a voice that sends shivers down the spine and lyrics which melt hearts, Pete has been earmarked for big things
Friday 11th November – Headliner: Ryan Taylor (with support acts)
Ryan Taylor has been singing from a young age, crediting top RnB singers such as Boyz 2 Men and Stevie Wonder as his biggest influences. At the age of 18 he was signed up to Virgin Records for 3 years as part of a group. Since this time, Ryan has explored a wide genre of music with his new writing partner Mike Nicholson to give him the edge he has now
Friday 18th November – Headliner: Cowboy Racer (with support acts)
Cowboy Racer is made up of two top music veterans, having been in groups including Salad, Britpop and 4AD between them. Their debut album as a duet flows with emotion and an offbeat electronic charm. Cowboy Racer already has a loyal fan base, set to grow steadily from here on in
